Official Naruto Manga Thread

Well, seeing as how we started talking about Naruto Part Dues in the Now Playing anime forum I felt like it would be a good idea to seperate the Naruto anime from the Naruto manga. Specifically I wanted to give us a place to talk about Volume 28 Chapter 245 and up, which is the beginning of Naruto Part 2. Feel free to make predictions, chat about chapters, character designs, or simply whatever you feel like. Remember to use spoiler tags when necissary. Also, if you want to reference some things from Naruto Part 1 thats cool as well. Anyway, I'll kick this off with my thoughts on chapter 245.

[SPOILER]So far, we've only been able to tell a little. Naruto has obviously grown but maintained his childlike behavior (although it comes out a lot less frequently now). In short, he has matured. This is no surprise though, seeing as he has a goal possibly even more important to him now then becoming hokage. Retrieving his friend. Same could be said with Sakura. She is slowly acknowledging that she feels something for Naruto and letting go of her mindless infatuation with Sasuke, but we'll have to see where that goes. I honestly see Team 7 as more of one entity that constantly need to be surrounded by each other to be complete. Although Sakura could conceivably have relationships with Sasuke or Naruto I believe Kishimoto is looking for a different kind of relationship between all three. By having Sakura pair up with either Sasuke or Naruto he is creating a rift among Team 7 once again, and this entire new Part is going to be about redemption and being completely whole and satisfied with your life. I think Sakura will stop the random violence towards Naruto and acknowledge him as a very important person in her life and slowly realize that her infatuation with Sasuke was little more then that. A balance will be reached of sorts and peace will finally be achieved. That is a long way off though. First they need to show Kakashi what's up and start this new mission of theres. 246 promises to be completely awesome, with some new justus showing up.[/SPOILER]

Hrmmm, since there's only a few months left before Orochimaru can finally replace his body with that of Sasuke's, a battle between Naruto and Sakura vs. Sasuke, in order to convince Sasuke to go back to Konoha, is a possibility.

Hehe, Naruto is smooth. I love his solution at the end. Frankly though I was more impressed by Sakura. Like Kakashi said, she has all the abilities of the fifth already (crazy strength and medical ninjutsu) and she also has the potential to be a genjutsu master. Damn. Anyway, play times over. Next chapter we get to see Shikamaru and crew hopefully as they all prepare for there next mission. Hopefully we'll get a peek at Sasuke next chapter too.

I loved the look on Kakashis face after Sakuras attack. And yeah, I'm also impressed with how much Sakura has changed. She had a scray face too :ninja:

Im actually wanting to see what awesome new jutsus Naruto has learned. I think that this chapter merely hinted at his new ability to control and time his moves.

Imagine that. Timing, Control, Unpredictability, and basically unlimited chakra.

Well ****... Naruto is dead last once more. All the other rookies are chunnin, including Sakura. Neji, Temari and Kankuro are jounin. And finally, the coolest part... Garra is Kazekage. I don't want to think about how strong Garra has become. I wonder if Naruto would even stand a chance against him now. Frankly, from what little I've seen Naruto do during the bell test he couldn't take any of the other rookies or sand ninjas now. I think that is how Kishimoto wants it though. He didn't give a damn if he showed most of Sakura's powers but he wants you in the dark about how truely strong Naruto has become until he pulls out the big guns. So hurry up already! Now the big question begins... will Naruto have to participate in the upcoming chunnin exams by HIMSELF??!! Or will Tsunade simply promote him? I honestly don't think Kishimoto will waste time with another chunnin exam, that would take too much time, and since none of the main characters besides Naruto are still genin, it doesn't make sense either. It's not Kishimoto's style to suddenly insert new characters to fit convience and he has a more important story to focus on, namely getting Sasuke back and kicking the **** out of Akatsuki and Orochimaru. He gave us an incredible cast and has fleshed each and everyone of them out until we know them so well it hurts. My guess, Tsunade will simply promote Naruto to chunnin so he can go on the mission with Kakashi, Sakura and whoever Kakashi decides should join them. Kakashi wanted Naruto and Sakura with him of course but now he needs to decide who else comes. My guess? The rest of the rookie 9. That would be a perfect chance to see how much each of them has grown. Also, my guess is that the next two chapters will be about Kazekage Garra opening up a serious can of woopass on those two Akasuki bitches who seem to think they can destroy the Sand Village easily. He'll back hand those two punks like annoying little gnats. Anyway, this chapter absolutely blew my mind. Poor Naruto. I laughed my ass off at his expression though when he found out he was the only genin now. He was like.... "Well... ****. Thats a big freaking kick to the nuts". Oh, and Shikamaru looks like a freaking pimp (of course it could be because he was walking around with Temari and she's always look a little bit like a... yeah)

I think she will just give him some sort of test.... Perhaps some sort of fight?

I was thinking the exact same thing, she will probably give him a private test which he will pass in some probably tricky or smartass way. But it will probably be harder than the actually chuunin exam.

DUM DUM DUM!!! Hear my name and tremble.... I AM GAARA! GRADE A MOTHER F'in BADASS FROM THE SAND-VILLAGE!! Heh, and man did he prove it in 248. Don't come knocking on Gaara's door without an invitation. He'll smoke you so fast you won't know what hit you. Man I loved to see the fill extent of his power after 2 1/2 years. As for Naruto's strength, jury's still out. Frankly though I think he will be completely unbelievably strong when he stops pulling his punches. In the last two chapters he has told both of the male role models in his life that he thinks he is stronger than them now. Now Naruto boasts alot of crap but in this case I could believe it.
